I have installed JPromoter component does it work when you are developing a website locally on your computer.
When I go to A Control Panel page click on SEF URLs NO pages come up, they all say 0.
How to you start the SEO with JPromoter. I have read Jpromoter.v.1.1 pdf
Also cannot open the .htaccess zip file that came with my purchase.
Thanks

Hello,
yes it should work locally,
just replace htaccess.txt to .htaccess please download it here
Than upload integration, you can do in automatically into the SEO Tools section, or manually:
Install Automatically
Go to Jomlamenu->Components->JPromoter 2->SEO Tools and click Integration button in toolbar. That will update integrations.
Install Manually
Simply extract/overwrite this archive to administrator/components/com_jp/sef_configs. Then navigate to SEF section, filter URLs by component you whish to renew URLs and delete all URLs. JPromoter will recreate URLs. Please, request config you lack and we will create it for you.
Here is link for manual downloading.
The last one delete all urls in SEF URLs section if any were created, that go to frontend and click check all components installed, just click on different links, than URLs will be created.
Note, for correct working of component you need to be installed apache mod_rewrite and PHP cURL library.
Thank you.

Hello,
What about the development tools you use for, is this wamp or zend ready to use solution or you installed and adjust everything by peaces.
Additionally what is your system into, included php, mysqul, apache, joomla versions.
Sorry I misunderstand what do you mean under expand file? just delete old htaccess.txt by default and unzip new .htaccess you can download in also in download section using the link provided above.
mod_rewrite and cURL you can check in PHP info,
how to include this depends on what you are using for development, but usually it done directly with apache httpd.conf and php.ini files editing.
To be sure I send you right htaccess to email.
let me know does it works.
Thank you.

I have the same problem.
1) I installed the component
2) I copied the hack into the includes directory
3) I installed the Mambot
4) I copied the .htaccess in the root
5) I copied the new integration directory into administrator/components/com_jp/sef_configs
6) In the Admin I go to components/Jpromoter 2/SEF URLs
I just get an empty page.
Can anybody help me out?
Martin

Hello,
did you turn on SEO in the global Joomla configuration, it is require. In addition you need enable it in JP, just check it.
If nothing helps just provide support email with temporary superadmin and FTP accesses.
Thank you.
